Im trying to georefernce a .pdf map that I converted to .gif and than gave it the same coordinate system as the base maps that I have and then I insterted it as a new layer.. but the image is really tiny and was placed nowhere near the base map that I need to georeference it to and when I do a zoom extents both are so tiny you cant see either of them.. is there a way to move the maps closer together or make the .gif much larger so I can see them both at the same time?

Hi... I'm guessing you're using ArcGIS. If so, try the 'Fit to Display' option on the Georeferencing menu (on the georeferencing toolbar)
