The problems with the dialogue boxes are resolvable.

Updating the drivers will resolve the DVD-Max issue.

Regarding the windows popping up in the middle, you can use the "Center Dialogue Box" feature that helps you control that in the drivers.

If a hardware upgrade is being considered, the Matrox Parhelia line would be a good thing to consider.

ESRI applications have been certified for this line.
