Tasseled Cap Transformation Report this article as Inappropriate to us !!!Login to Reply

I know that essentially two tasseled cap transformations have been developed based on TM data – one based on digital number (Crist and Cicone 1984) and the other on reflectance factor (Crist 1985). Does the transformation based on DN assume that the data have been atmosphericly corrected (using a relative correction to preserve data ranges from 0 - 255)?

Does the reflectance factor based transformation require that the data range from 0.0 – 1.0?

What is the appropriate tasseled cap transformation to use for comparisons between TM and ETM+ data?

Thanks in Advance

-Tim
