Any open source alternate to network analyst? Report this article as Inappropriate to us !!!Login to Reply

I've built a web-based GIS application using ArcGIS server, but I'm looking to move away from ESRI/ArcGIS.

I use ESRI's Network Analyst to do the following:

  • Find the shortest path (distance) between 2 points

  • Find the distance between 2 points

  • Find the shortest path (time) between 2 points

Is there are open source software out there that can give me the equivalent functionality? I prefer Java, but in a pinch, I could go with C/C++.

(If it helps, I plan to use a combination of OpenLayers and MapServer to power the rest of my GIS web application).

Thanks in advance.
