The individual chosen to fill the immediate vacancy will provide oversight to Geographical Information System (GIS) operations; provide support and coordination of all GIS activity using ESRI ArcGIS 9.x and ArcIMS; perform product upgrades; represent the County in regional, State, and Federal GIS meetings and coordinate all GIS integration efforts; deliver presentations on GIS to both governmental agencies and private industry; generate and maintain written documentation on GIS; plan and execute GIS training program on a regional basis; and work with GIS Committee to expand GIS functionality.
Level I requires one year of experience in the analysis, design and implementation of Information Technology Systems, including technical support. Level II requires two years of experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Information Technology Systems equivalent to that of an Information Technology Systems Analyst I with Madera County.
In addition, both levels require two years (or the equivalent) of college level course work in computer science, information systems or a closely related field; a valid CA driver’s license; and possession of one or more of the following: Computing Technology Industry Association (A+), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or equivalent certifications as determined by the Director of Information Technology.
