Here are some of the key features for the 2017 release:
IMPORT PDFs – A top-requested feature based on user feedback, PDFs have been added to the supported ‘Import File’ formats. Now you can import geometry, TrueType text and raster images from a PDF file or underlay into the current drawing as AutoCAD objects. Gone are the days of clunky workarounds or having to leave AutoCAD to import PDFs.
Import PDF lets you import geometry from a PDF file into your drawings as AutoCAD objects.
AUTODESK DESKTOP APP – product updates and learning content are seamlessly delivered to help you get the most out of new features with Autodesk Desktop App, a companion application that replaces Autodesk Application Manager. You’ll get the latest security patches and updates for all 2015, 2016, and 2017 versions of Microsoft® Windows®-based Autodesk® products without disrupting your workflow. And it’s even subscription-aware, offering subscription-only updates and learning content for products under subscription.

SMART CENTERLINES/CENTER MARKS – Creating and editing centerlines and center marks is now faster and more intuitive. When you move associated objects, the centerlines and center marks update accordingly.
AutoCAD 2017 offers simplifiedcreation and editing of centerlines and center marks.
With AutoCAD 2017, we’ve continued to improve both the performance and fidelity of our 2D and 3D graphics, and 3D graphics stability has also been greatly improved.
