GEOINT 2017 Registration Now Open

Annual intelligence conference attracts up to 4,000 attendees and offers educational and training opportunities

Herndon, Virginia, March 1, 2017 — The United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) opened registration and housing for its GEOINT 2017 Symposium, taking place June 4-7 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.

The GEOINT Symposium, hosted annually by USGIF, gathers the defense, intelligence, and homeland security communities and other users and producers of geospatial information for an exciting agenda of keynote speakers, panel discussions, and breakout tracks offering the unique opportunity to learn from senior leaders and subject matter experts.

USGIF has confirmed two GEOINT 2017 keynote speakers. Robert Cardillo, director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, and Dr. Todd Lowery, acting under secretary of defense for intelligence, will address the audience during the Symposium general session. More keynote speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.

The theme of GEOINT 2017 is “Advancing Capabilities to Meet Emerging Threats.” With deepening persistent threats and mounting challenges facing our nation, the GEOINT Community needs to build enduring partnerships to advance collective capabilities. Strengthening GEOINT affords opportunities to achieve the agility and responsiveness necessary to outpace our nation’s adversaries and solve some of the most demanding global problems.

“While still early in the planning process, we're excited to see the strong response to this year's event, and we're eagerly looking forward to once again gathering the ever-expanding GEOINT Community in San Antonio for another impactful symposium,” said USGIF CEO Keith Masback.

GEOINT 2017 will feature an expansive exhibit hall with more than 200 organizations showcasing their technologies, solutions, and services. Exhibit and sponsorship opportunities are still available.

More than 24 dedicated professional development, training, and education sessions will be offered. In these two-hour training sessions, GEOINT subject matter experts teach participants about new concepts in topics such as activity-based intelligence, machine learning, remote sensing applications, GEOINT analytics, and more. All training sessions are accredited and attendees will receive 0.2 Continuing Education Units per qualified session.

The GEOINT 2017 Symposium will also offer a pre-symposium science and technology day called GEOINT Foreword June 4. GEOINT Foreword brings together government, academia, and industry to discuss innovation and advances in the GEOINT tradecraft. Please note GEOINT Foreword requires separate registration.

In addition to these many events and activities, GEOINT 2017 also features rich networking events.
