GeoDecisions Completes Enterprise Web Portal for Oklahoma Department of Transportation

(Nov.13, 2006/Harrisburg, Pa.) GeoDecisions, an award-winning leader in the information technology industry specializing in geographic information systems (GIS), recently completed its Geographical Resource Intranet Portal Version 3 (GRIPv3) project for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT).

GRIPv3 is the latest version of a Web-based application that enables users to view, query, map, and analyze a variety of Oklahoma’s enterprise transportation information, providing consistent and timely information. Armed with this tool, ODOT can report on the condition of bridges and roadway surfaces, as well as analyze information related to traffic incidents, programs, projects, inventory, railroad crossings, and speed zones.

Designed, developed, and implemented by GeoDecisions, GRIPv3 features a modularized design platform that offers enhanced flexibility and visualization, layout, and analysis features.

“GRIPv3 provides us with the necessary information to make better, more informed decisions on managing transportation infrastructure,” commented Jay Adams, assistant director of ODOT’s Planning & Research Division. “Its capabilities enable us to improve the quality and safety of Oklahoma’s transportation network.”
