Texas’ Hardin County Appraisal District Selects Sidwell for Data Conversion

February 13, 2008 -- St. Charles, IL – The Sidwell Company, a St. Charles, Illinois-based, employee-owned provider of geographic information systems, aerial photography, photogrammetric and mapping services, was selected by Texas’ Hardin County Appraisal District to convert their mapping data to an ESRI® personal Geodatabase that utilizes the cadastral tag data model. Sidwell will import the district’s parcel number inventory into Parcel Builder-Administrator™, which will enable HCAD to link parcel numbers directly to the GIS, thereby making them available for future integration with tax and CAMA applications and for enhanced workflows. To facilitate GIS viewing in conjunction with the district’s CAMA data, Sidwell will also provide Parcel Builder-MapViewer™ software, in addition to a Parcel Builder Bridge application, which will allow for the integration of HCAD’s CAMA software application with MapViewer™. The Hardin County Appraisal District, located near Beaumont in east-central Texas, encompasses more than 894 square miles and has approximately 33,000 parcels.
