Currently, GeoDecisions maintains and enhances IRRIS using NAVTEQ's highly accurate map data for the Army Transportation Engineering Agency. IRRIS provides near-real-time information necessary for improved decision making in order to organize military and emergency personnel while globally tracking military convoys and freight. Additionally, Points of Interest (POIs) vital to America's security such as government offices, medical facilities and hospitals, fire and police departments, bus and commuter rail lines and gas stations are indicated in NAVTEQ's database.

MilitaryHOMEFRONT is a Website with tools and features uniquely designed for the military community. Since its launch in 2004, MilitaryHOMEFRONT has become a core component of the resources offered by the Department of Defense (DoD) to military personnel. NAVTEQ provides detailed street maps and POIs to assist the military community in locating essential services worldwide. Under the renewal contract, NAVTEQ will provide updated data and will continue to work with the DoD and application providers to further extend and enhance MilitaryHOMEFRONT to provide additional capabilities.

"NAVTEQ has been a longstanding supplier of data for US Government applications," stated Roy Kolstad, vice president and general manager, Enterprise Americas, NAVTEQ. "The renewal of both the IRRIS and MilitaryHOMEFRONT contracts illustrates the importance of accurate, high-quality map data for mission-critical LBS applications."
