CPDA Releases Scorecard that Reviews the Design Simulation Practices of Twenty-Five Leading Edge Users

Stamford, CT, For Immediate Release – The report “Integrating Simulation and Test to Achieve the Full Promise of PLM” was recently released by Collaborative Product Development Associates (CPDA), a provider of critical analyses for PLM decisions.

The full development of simulation technology will transform product development – slashing time to market, raising quality, and optimizing solutions to best fit customer and market requirements. To track the progress in achieving these objectives CPDA has completed an industry scorecard that assesses the relative positions of twenty-five leading edge users and the maturity of their design simulation practices. The scorecard ranks companies in three areas – cross-functional capabilities, computer-aided engineering (CAE), and computer-aided test (CAT). Detailed discussions covered twenty criteria. Results show an increasing awareness across all industry sectors of the need to integrate simulation and physical tests in the mainstream PLM.
