April 07, 2009 -- Yotta MVS (the 3D mapping division of OMG plc [LSE:OMG]), a leader in street-level image collection and field data verification, started work in Oconee County, SC after being selected to collect street-level images there.

Yotta MVS is pleased to announce that field collection crews have been busy collecting high quality digital images of the County’s 50,000 parcels. Yotta MVS, formerly Mobile Video Services, Inc., has a long history in the mass appraisal industry. Their experienced field data verification technicians use a unique and specialized system of framing in which the structure of interest compromises at least 75% of the captured image. In addition, each structure is captured with an image resolution exceeding industry standards.

Oconee County has also elected to implement Mobile Office, a Yotta MVS field-based solution which gives appraisers all the data (GIS, CAMA, orthos, obliques, street-view images) they need to make updates in the field. Both the Mobile Office application and up-to-date street-view imagery will aid the county in defending appeals and in the discovery of improvements leading to additional tax revenues.
