New offerings increase usability and efficiency to promote interoperability and information sharing

Intergraph I/CAD version 9.0 promotes interoperability and information sharing to advance situational awareness for optimized emergency response and streamlines the 9-1-1 dispatch process through usability enhancements. The latest generation computer-aided dispatch (CAD) solution also allows for the incorporation of widely available consumer maps into workflows. Intergraph's newest public safety and security incident response management solution:

    --  Introduces the Intergraph Interoperability Framework, based on Microsoft
        BizTalk for enterprise service bus support for multi-agency and
        multi-jurisdictional data sharing, which becomes the platform for
        supporting industry standards, such as the National Information Exchange
        Model (NIEM);

    --  Delivers usability enhancements, including simplified workflows, that
        make common dispatch tasks easier to complete for quicker and more
        accurate decision making;

    --  Supports  new and emerging mobile trends through a refreshed platform
        compatible with Internet Protocol V.6, Microsoft SQL Server 2008
        database, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 operating system and Oracle 11g
        database;

    --  Advances situational awareness by enabling users to easily toggle
        between the I/CAD map and consumer maps, such as Microsoft Virtual
        Earth.

Intergraph's latest mobile application, Mobile for Public Safety, an extension to Intergraph's CAD solution, is a highly customizable, next generation platform that provides seamless application interoperability. It includes new, intuitive, role-specific user interface templates that are specifically designed to meet the varying needs of police, fire and EMS users. The application also supports consumer maps from Microsoft Virtual Earth to advance situational awareness for field personnel.
