CB Richard Ellis Renews Contract with Meridian Systems for Capital Project Management Software through April 2012

CBRE has extended its Proliance software license agreement as its comprehensive project management software engine

FOLSOM, Calif. (September 17, 2009) - Meridian Systems, the Plan-Build-Operate technology solutions leader for project-based organizations, announced today that CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc. (CBRE) has extended its licensing agreement to use Meridian Proliance® software as its engine for "Project Insight," CBRE's comprehensive project management software solution. CBRE is the world's largest commercial real estate services firm.

Proliance software combines project and portfolio management, facilities management, business process management and business analytics to create one comprehensive software system of record for tracking the performance of large capital projects and programs.

CBRE originally evaluated Proliance in comparison to other commercially available project management alternatives. After completing this process, CBRE selected Proliance for Project Insight in 2008 and recently extended the licensing agreement through April 2012.

Project Insight incorporates CBRE's best practices by configuring and customizing Meridian's Proliance software to meet the process and informational needs of its customers. One of the primary drivers of CBRE's Project Insight initiative was improving the technology experience of its project managers and customers.

Office Business Applications (OBAs) were developed to allow project managers to productively leverage familiar applications such as Excel and MS Project to securely connect in real time over the Internet to exchange data directly with Proliance. OBAs are enabled by the Proliance application platform, which is built on a Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) using Web services and XML technologies.

CBRE has also developed a portal utilizing Proliance Business Intelligence, which provides visually pleasing graphical information in real time with drill-down capability to access underlying data. CBRE successfully completed beta testing of Project Insight in 2008 and has several customer implementations completed and in-progress.
