Podgorica, Montenegro – September 2010 - Geofoto Group signed a contract for the project “Montenegro – production of digital terrain model and digital orthophoto”, which includes laser scanning and digital aerophotogrammetric survey as well as production of digital terrain model and digital orthophoto for entire territory of Montenegro, including its islands, which amounts to 13.452 sq. km.

The digital terrain model will be produced from the data collected with laser scanning, with the density of one point per sq. m, while the final orthophoto will have resolution of 20 cm.

Laser scanning and aerial survey will be finalized by the end of November 2010, and the delivery of all materials will be made by 4th March 2011.

Geofoto Group won this contract at an international tender process at which ten biggest European companies took part, confirming the company’s leading position in Europe.

The value of the entire project is 10 million Norwegian Kroner (1.26 million Euros), which is financed by the Kingdom of Norway.
This is yet another big international project for Geofoto Group, which employs 280 highly educated experts and has member companies around the world. The company has just recently finalized project of DOP and topographic database for entire Albania, as well as produced DOP for Nicaraguan municipality Leon.
