3-GIS Announces Executive Promotions

Decatur, AL January 31, 2017 – After completing a record-breaking year of growth in 2016, 3-GIS is pleased to announce the promotion of Dustin Sutton to the role of President.  Dustin Sutton recently served as 3-GIS’s Vice President of Business Development. As President, Dustin Sutton succeeds Tom Counts, who will remain Chief Executive Officer of 3-GIS.

“Dustin is uniquely qualified for his position as he represents all that is good about 3-GIS; its people, its ethos, and most of all, the culture of innovation that is borne from teamwork and collaboration,” said Tom Counts, CEO of 3-GIS. “As CEO, I look forward to focusing my time and efforts on next-generation technologies, multi-national growth strategies, strategic partnerships, and inorganic growth activities. I will remain actively engaged with 3-GIS, and look forward to supporting Dustin in his new role leading the day-to-day tactical operations of the business.”

“I'm humbled and honored to have the opportunity to step into this role for 3-GIS. Under Tom’s leadership, 3-GIS has had tremendous success establishing ourselves as a leader in the fiber management space,” said Dustin Sutton, 3-GIS President. “ We’ve done this by assembling an amazing team of talented individuals and providing them a challenging and rewarding environment in which to work. Tom has left an enduring legacy as President, and will continue to be an invaluable resource as CEO working together with CTO, Tommy Siniard, and CFO Jerry Golden, to focus on the future of 3-GIS in this rapidly changing industry.  Thanks to this team we’ve built and the new focus of our executives, I’m confident that the tremendous success we saw in 2016 is merely a sign of things to come.

3-GIS also announced other key promotions. Taking Dustin's place as Vice-President of Business Development will be Michael Measels who played a key role in the establishment of 3-GIS’s Design Automation group in 2016.  Leading the Fiber Design Automation group will be Jimmy Hall, formerly of AT&T. Taking over the role of Data Engineering Team Manager will be Kenny Maynor, formerly of Intergraph.  Finally, long-time 3-GIS veteran Kyle Siniard has been promoted to Director of Product Marketing where he will lead the direction of the 3-GIS Network Solutions product line.
