Contribute Ideas to our Trends/Predictions Article for 2016!

December 14th, 2015 by Susan Smith

Hello Readers!

For-You-Happy-Holiday-

The first week of January GISCafe Voice will publish a Trends/Predictions article, looking forward toward what might be the big trends for the new year, as well as the next five years.

What are we looking at? What can we predict will be game-changers in the coming year or years?

How will the initiatives driving low carbon emissions shape the GIS community and the cities of the future?

How will drones morph and develop to change to meet our needs for increasingly accurate and quick data?

What products will serve to make data more accessible to many more people, inside and outside the GIS/geospatial community?

What role will sensors play in the new order for GIS users and consumers?

What do you think of data sharing and the cloud?

These are just a few subjects to ponder, but you may have many more. Write to me to share your thoughts at susan.smith@ibsystems.com Please get your comments to me by December 23rd, 2015.

This is crowdsourcing at its finest: everybody’s opinion will be considered!

Best regards and have a joyous holiday,

Susan Smith
