Magellan announced its partnership with Effigis to enhance customers’ ability to collect and post-process geo-localized data. The product that will take advantage of this partnership is Magellan’s eXplorist GIS Pro 10 — a rugged, lightweight, waterproof and bluetooth-enabled handheld GPS device designed for GPS/GIS data collection.
Three Effigis OnPOZ precision positioning software products are available on Magellan’s eXplorist GIS Pro 10 device: EZTag CE, GNSS Driver for ArcPad and EZSurv. The description of these three products on the eXplorist GIS Pro 10 device as as follows (from the press release): · EZTag CE, geospatial data acquisition software, facilitates the collection of geospatial data including points, lines and polygons plus their specific attributes, and valuable GNSS observations necessary for post-processing. Users can customize the data capture properties to match their office database structure.
