Maxar collected new satellite imagery reported attack on ship
January 4th, 2024 by Sanjay Gangal
European Space Imaging (EUSI) partner, Maxar collected new satellite imagery on 26 December that reveals the aftermath of the reported attack on a Russian Ropucha-class landing ship at the eastern Crimean port of Feodosia. On yesterday’s imagery, the remains of the ship can be seen smoking and largely submerged after the attack while additional damage and burned buildings and other areas are evident on the adjacent quay. In the link provided below, you can download a couple of comparison images of the area—one from before the attack (collected on 5 December) and one after the attack (collected on 26 December). Please let us know if you have any questions about the material.
